Interface Modules


The quality of sound is the key to clear and accurate communications for positive control of any situation.

Sigtronics has been the industry standard of excellence in high noise aircraft systems since 1974. This experience has been used in the design of the Mobile Radio Interface Modules to insure the highest quality durability and reliability. Now you can protect your hearing and have clear radio communications using an interface module and a Sigtronics headset.

To transmit, a push to talk (PTT) switch must be pressed. This switch can be located in a convenient location. The regular hand mike and speaker of the radio remain useable.

If an intercom function among vehicle passengers is also needed, there is the UltraSound intercom system available. This allows users with a headset to hear and talk among themselves and on one or two mobile radios in high noise environments.

Hearing Protection

The hearing of crew members is protected by using Sigtronics headsets. They are light weight for comfort, reduce noise for safety and have noise cancelling electret microphones for superb voice fidelity. The headsets have a noise reduction of 24 dB to comply with NFPA 1500.
