Sigtronics Headsets
For use with the Sigtronics intercom systems or a Sigtronics Mobile Radio Interface Adapter, you can choose from 19 varieties of headsets. Headsets are available for every application. The two most popular headsets are the behind the head SE-2 model which is designed for use with helmets and the over the head SE-40 model for use without helmets. They are light weight for comfort, reduce noise for safety and have noise cancelling electret microphones with superb voice fidelity. There is a volume control on one earcup for adjusting the volume in the headset as desired.
Each headset is equipped with a coiled cord that extends to four feet. The mike booms are adjustable and can be easily rotated for use on the left or right side of the headset. This permits the cord to hang from either side, as convenient. The cord is made from 105 strand (per conductor), high flex, high endurance, flame proof, polyurethane coated wire.
With the Sigtronics intercom systems, any headset can be used with an optional belt mounted box with PTT switch. This connects to the intercom system with a heavy duty 15 or 30 foot cord, allowing freedom of movement for the user.
Sigtronics headsets can also be used with your portable hand held radios using adapters. These adapters clip on the user's belt, and have a PTT switch for transmitting.
Hearing Protection
The hearing of crew members is protected by using Sigtronics headsets. The headsets have a noise reduction of 24 dB to comply with NFPA 1500.
