The IC-F24 (16 channels) and the IC-F14S (2 channels) will easily exceed your expectations with simple operation for everyone. The very durable construction is resistant to shock and vibration. Tough and reliable construction
The IC-F14/S series is built around an aluminum die-cast chassis and
covered with tough polycarbonate casing. This radio is built to last.
Its dual slide rail securely locks the battery to the radio. The
battery terminal is covered with a non-corrosive rubber packing. The
belt clip is clamped between the radio and the battery, making it
nearly impossible to knock loose.
Simple operation
Having only 3 buttons, volume and channel knobs, the IC-F14/S series
does not require special training to use. Positive button action for
sure operation even when wearing gloves, allows you to get down to the
business of communicating without fuss.
Wide frequency coverage
The IC-F14/S series covers a wide frequency range with one version
(136-174, 400-470 MHz). Wide and narrow channel spacing
(25, 12.5kHz) is programmable per channel.
Lithium-Ion battery standard
The IC-F14/S series comes with the BP-231 Li-Ion battery pack as
standard. Li-Ion batteries have virtually no memory issues and allows
you flexible charging. In addition, the optional BP-232 provides a high
capacity 2000mAh for longer operating time.
Optional board
The F14/S series has an expansion socket for adding an optional
board. Voice scrambler, man down and DTMF decoder features are
available, depending on the installed board.

Wideband coverage
The IC-F43G/F33G series covers a wide frequency range in one version (400-470MHz UHF and 136-174MHz VHF). With 256 memory channel capacity in up to 16 banks allows you to divide and store a variety of flexible channel groupings. Easy channel selection with a simple rotation of the rotary channel knob.
Lithium-Ion battery pack
The battery is a lightweight yet high capacity 1150mAh Li-Ion pack. For longer operating time, there is an optional BP-232 2000mAh Li-Ion pack which is rated for a full 15 hours* of operation. There's virtually no memory charging issues with Li-Ion technology. A rugged dual-rail guide securely locks the batter to the radio.
Alphanumeric display
The backlit 8-character LCD display shows channel, bank, tone code and scanning channel names on the display. A separate row of operational icons indicate battery, signal strength, RX/TX and multiple other radio conditions.
Voice scrambler function
The IC-F43G/F33G series includes a built-in inversion type voice scrambler that provides secure communication in all models. With an optional voice scrambler unit, UT-109 or UT-110, more secure encryption is possible.
Audio Compander
The built-in audio compander reduces noise components and provides clear reception even in narrow band use.
BIIS 1200 Compatible
The following selective calling and data features are available with the built-in BIIS system:
- Send 8 character SDM (short data message)
- Receive up to 95 characters of free entry text
- GPS/AVL position location (using a external GPS unit, not supplied)

Built-in Tone signaling

Up to 10 2-Tone codes can be decoded on a single memory channel. This is perfect for professionals who require multiple district paging on one channel. When a matched tone is received, the following items are programmable for each code.
Vibration alert function
When a pre-programmed 2-tone/5-tone code or call from a specific user (MDC mode only) is received, the radio vibrates powerfully enough to be felt through heavy clothing.
8 minute voice recorder
When a pre-programmed 2-tone/5-tone code or a SelCall (MDC mode only) is received, the voice recorder automatically starts recording the incoming message. You will not miss an important call even when you are temporarily away from the radio. You can manually start recording incoming calls and also your own message. It records up to a maximum of 8 minutes (Or up to 48 calls of 10 sec. recording time)
Li-Ion battery pack
The large capacity 1700mAh Lithium-Ion (Li-Ion) battery pack, BP-227 provides a practical 10 hours* of operating time. Li-Ion batteries allow flexible charging and have almost no memory effect.

Up to 7 programmable buttons
The [P0]–[P3], [Red] and [Up], [Down] buttons are programmable to meet specific needs. The [Red] button on the top panel can be assigned as an emergency trigger.
Alphanumeric display
The 8-character alphanumeric display shows channel, bank, tone code and scanning channel names on the display. 7 operational icons on the sub-line show various status at a glance.
Wide range coverage and large channel capacity
The IC-F50/F60 covers a wide frequency range in one version. The large capacity of 128 memory channels with 8 memory banks allows you to divide and store a variety of channels from local to wide area network channels. Both wide and narrow (25/12.5kHz) channel bandwidth is programmable to each channel.

Most popular signalings built-in
The IC-F3161 series has built-in 2-Tone, 5-Tone, CTCSS and DTCS signaling capabilities as standard for group communication or selective calling. Also, the IC-F3161 series can decode ten 2-Tone codes or eight 5-Tone codes on a channel. When a matched tone is received, the following actions are programmable for each code.
Full dot-matrix LCD
Using a large full dot-matrix LCD (32-18 mm), the IC-F3161 series shows upper and lower case characters clearly. The display setting is selectable from 1 line, 12 characters or 2 lines 24 characters via programming. The bottom row shows assigned functions to the [P0] to [P3] buttons.
Voting mode scanning
The Voting mode scanning detects the Smeter level of repeater stations and automatically selects the strongest station, useful for roaming between 2 or more repeater sites. In addition, the IC-F3161 series has 10 scanning modes including priority scan and double priority scan.
Enhanced audio
The IC-F3161 series employs a BTL amplifier that increases the audio output and the built-in audio compander provides clear, low noise communications.
Built-in inversion-type voice scrambler
The built-in inversion type voice scrambler provides secure conversation as standard. When a more secure system is required, the 32 code non-rolling-type voice scrambler UT-109R and 1020 code rolling type UT-110R are available as an option.
